Self Tanners
I am completely new to the self tanning/or fake tanning world! I decided to try it out because I refuse to go to a tanning bed but I get so pale during the winter time. I thought this would be the safest alternative to still have a nice natural glow during these long winter months coming up.
Recently I bought Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Moisturizer at my local Smiths Market Place for a little less than $10.
I absolutely love this stuff so far! This is the only one that I have tried but it is doing the job. Reasons why I like this self tanner:
1. It is a developing tan: Because it is a developing tan it gives me the nice subtle tan I am looking for. Some of the other instant tans I have researched seemed a little drastic for me. I don't want people to notice that I am self tanning. I want it to look normal. Instant tans might be good for you so don't hesitate to try it, but I don't think I will be going that route this winter (maybe I will try it in the summer when I am already naturally darker).
2. No foul odor: A lot of self tanners have a rancid smell to them. How do I know this? I have had friends who used self tanners and I could smell them all the time. Not pleasant! This formula claims to be odor-less but I still think it has a faint self-tanning smell to it but nothing unbearable.
3. Moisturizing: This tanner is like a lotion. It comes out white (which can be difficult when you need to make sure you have covered every inch of skin). If you are looking for a tanner that has a color guide this one is not for you! I apply this tanner every day when I get out of the shower as my regular lotion. It leaves my skin soft, tan, and moisturized!
4. Cheap: A lot of self tanners can get pretty pricey, especially if you apply them often. This one is only $10 and it comes in a pretty big bottle (7.5 FL OZ)
If you are looking for a nice subtle, graduale tan I would definitely recommend trying this out for yourself! I hope this post helps and if you end up trying this tanner comment below what you think about it!
Thanks for reading and happy November!
Love, Brooke :)
